East Coast Road or ECR Road in Chennai used to be a deserted stretch of roadway along the coast of Chennai. Well not anymore!! The stretch is now teeming with activity and emerged as the number one destination for people who want to spend a serene and beautiful weekend drive. This is largely due to the accumulation of a large number of amusement centres, resorts and movie malls taking advantage of the world class transport system and beautiful scenic nature of the highway. ECR is flanked by the vast sea on the left and a number of entertainment centres along the coast.
